After moving to Dallas and picking up her first camera, an Olympus OM-10, at a thrift store, Eliza embarked on a journey that would change the way she interacted with the world. Instead of seeing everything at face value, she started seeing the stories behind them. While her background is in marketing and business development, she armed herself with professional-grade equipment and a need to share this newfound perspective with the world. Cryptid Photography was born.
Why Cryptids?
Cryptids are any animal or creature whose existence has never been proven by mainstream science. Whether you’re a believer or not, the main point of discussion around their existence is photographs. Are they staged? Maybe some of them, maybe all of them. Could it be a log or another animal? Potentially. That doesn’t stop us from talking about them, though. Some of the most widely discussed photographs are those of cryptids.
